The Story of This Object
Woven from baby alpaca fiber by a cooperative of women weavers in Cusco, Peru. The fiber is the softest you will ever touch — warmer than wool, lighter than cashmere, and completely hypoallergenic. The colors are natural dyes made from plants and minerals: the terracotta from cochineal, the sage from eucalyptus, the stone from iron-rich clay. No two throws are exactly alike.

Amara's first rug came from a market in Marrakech — a small Beni Ourain piece she carried home in her luggage. When friends kept asking where it was from, she realized there was a gap between the artisans making these extraordinary things and the people who would love them. Woven Roots is the bridge she built.
